The third phase is otherwise known as the maintenance phase. This phase takes three weeks before doing another set or round which will bring you back to phase one. And every time you reach the third phase, you will add one week. The very low calorie diet is not suggested in this phase but a significantly lifted calorie diet and food choices instead. This phase is helpful in recalibrating your body's weight set point.
The last and final phase has no end since it continues for the rest of your life. Most people gain back the weight they have lost due to the combination of reset metabolism and lifestyle changes. So you have the rest of your life to maintain the weight you have achieved over the previous three phases. Keeping track of the food you eat is important to maintain the figure you have. Heavy exercise is not recommended during the HCG diet. But exercise enough to keep your body toned is discretionary.
