The Administration Process
If it is your first time to administer the HCG injection, it will not be advisable to do it by your self. You have to let a health care provider to do it for you first so you will know the proper mechanics of doing the injection. Proper administration is important to help the hormone work in losing your weight and lessen the pain that is usually felt during the HCG shots.

5. After that, push the needle into the vial that encloses the HCG powder. Press the syringe to release the sterile water into the powder to dissolve it. Allow it to mix by slowly swirling it and leave the needle in the mixture. Make sure that you do not shake the solution. Once the powder is completely dissolved, remove the syringe from the powder mixture.
6. Switch the needles that you previously used to a newer one. A gauge 26 needle should be used during the injection. This has a smaller size compared to 22-gauge needle that is used during the mixture.
7. Compress the area with ice before inserting the needle. This will reduce the pain during insertion. Then, disinfect it with alcohol wipes. Squeeze the skin gently about one inch. Hold the needle perpendicular to the target area. Then insert is with a smooth and quick motion. Hold it for 10 seconds then quickly remove it as soon as you have injected the hormone. After that, press down on the skin and massage gently to aid in absorption.
