alcoholic drinks for burning fats?
I'm a dieter who wants to drop weight fast and maintain weight well. I've read before that alcoholic drinks are good for burning fats. Brandy and rhum are on the list.
After VLCD, is it safe to drink rhum every day to maintain weight?

I have no idea where you read or heard this 0.o
Last year I was on a diet and lost 18lbs in a month. Then I added some wine in the next month and that month I lost 8lbs, but then I lost only 1 pound by eating the same healthy foods and calories. I was categorized as morbidly obese so I shouldn't have lost weight that fast by what I was doing.
From what I have been reading from last year, when alcohol is processed by the liver, all fat burning and food digesting stops in order for the liver to process that alcohol out first. When the food sits in your stomach it begins to store itself in your body as fat. I would limit your rum intake to one serving size once a week after your hcg diet. It's still a distilled alcohol which is mostly fermented sugars and empty calories. Once a night seems a little much, and I think you would find it harder to lose weight, or maintain the weight you had if you kept up the alcohol once a night.
